My husband, mom, and I were traveling back from the aquarium on 58. It was dinner time so we were looking for somewhere to eat. My husband pulled into Nagumagai Restaurant. It smelled and looked really good! Unfortunately we didn’t eat there that night because its yen only.
A few nights later we drove back and had an amazing meal! I didn’t take any pictures to review that time, but we recently went back for the first time almost 2 years.
The staff is super friendly and they have a large menu. There is chair options, but most of the tables are traditional Japanese tables where you sit on the floor.
Its a unique experience and the food is super yummy and inexpensive. We spent 2,500 yen for three of us this most recent visit. It’s an inexpensive place with good food!

Directions: From Foster go out Legion Gate and go straight through the light at 330. The next light make a right. The following light you will turn left onto the expressway and head towards Nago. Take the expressway all the way to the end. Drive 2.5 miles (you will pass the restaurant) and make a U-Turn. Nagumagai Restaurant will be on your left.
From Kadena go out Gate 2 and make a right onto 23. The next light make a right onto the expressway and head towards Nago. Take it all the way until the end. Drive 2.5 miles (you will pass the restaurant) and make a U-Turn. Nagumagi Restaurant will be on your left.
OPTION 2: Take 58 all the way north. When you merge with the expressway follow above directions.
