Anyone ever had a chance to be stationed at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina? Then you probably took advantage of that great place called Play Date – where you could do a drop-in child care session and run around to get errands done. Well, being a wife of a husband that is off island more than he is on island, I was looking for a place that I could do drop-in child care with little to no notice. Finally I found a place! Kids Plus 1 is exactly that. It’s a great place with loads of toys (including a climbing wall). I took my two little shy ones there last week. They wouldn’t let me leave the first 10 minutes; after that my son told me to go and come back to pick him up!

The staff are really great with them and speak a little English. I think they do field trips with kids that are there all day. They offer discounts for multiple children and even long-term rates. This is ideal if you want to go to the gym or Christmas shop without all the baggage.

Directions: Heading south on 58 when you get to the road where Fosters Spot gate is, turn right (towards Araha Beach). At the end of the road turn left and the place is immediately on your left hand side next to AU Phone Company.
